The United Servicers Association’s Most Professional Servicers (MPS) contest is back and bigger and better than ever! As one of the appliance repair industry’s most prestigious competitions, MPS is a chance for service companies of all sizes to showcase their professionalism, excellence, and dedication to customer service. This highly anticipated competition recognizes companies that set the gold standard for technician presentation, service vehicles, logos, and web presence.

Whether you’re a single technician or part of a larger team, the MPS contest celebrates the hard work and attention to detail that goes into running a successful appliance repair business. It isn’t just about getting the job done; it’s about doing it with the highest level of professionalism and care that sets you apart from the competition. From a polished company presentation to a sharp technician uniform and a well-branded service vehicle, these elements are crucial to building trust with your customers and establishing your brand in the community.

This year’s contest will conclude on November 14, 2024, and the winners will be announced at the 2025 Annual Service Training Institute (ASTI). The ASTI event is set for January 8-12, 2025, at the beautiful Omni Orlando at Championsgate in Orlando, Florida. Known as North America’s largest gathering for appliance repair professionals, ASTI offers an unmatched experience filled with technical training, valuable networking, and strategies to drive your business growth.

Last year’s ASTI in Las Vegas broke attendance records, and anticipation for this year’s event is greater still. The MPS contest has long been an ASTI highlight, serving as a moment of special recognition for companies that are going above and beyond in delivering top-notch service. The competition invites us to be judged by our peers, ensuring that only the best of the best will rise to the top.

In addition to the honor and recognition of being named a Most Professional Servicer, the winners will receive a fantastic array of prizes that include free registrations to ASTI 2025, exclusive memberships, a comprehensive marketing package, and possibly a few special surprises. The contest truly offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity not only to showcase your professionalism but also to enhance your company’s reputation and take your business to new heights.

Professionalism matters more than ever in today’s competitive market. According to a recent industry study, nearly 80% of consumers consider a company’s professionalism when selecting a repair service. This makes the MPS contest more than just about winning a title. It reflects what customers are looking for when choosing a company to trust with their appliance repairs. Companies that pay careful attention to technician presentation, service vehicles, logos, and web presence are the ones that will stand out in consumers’ eyes.

Last year’s winners, Twin Appliances Inc., Absolute Best Appliance, Hometown Hero Appliance Repair, and Mark’s Appliance Sales & Service, are shining examples of how professionalism can elevate a company’s status. These companies impressed the judges and attendees alike with their attention to detail and commitment to quality, setting a high bar for this year’s contestants.

Of course, the MPS contest wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. Our special thanks go out to Craig Reilly from Plus One Solutions and to CheckmyBadge.com for their continued sponsorship. Their support has helped make the event a success year after year, and we’re grateful for their commitment to the appliance repair community.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Miele and ServicersWeb for their continued support and dedication to our industry. Miele, renowned for its high-quality appliances, has consistently partnered with us to elevate service standards. Meanwhile, ServicersWeb, a leader in digital solutions for the service industry, has helped professionals enhance their online presence. Their commitment to the appliance repair community has played a vital role in the success of the MPS contest and the growth of the industry as a whole.
